Made of Portland stone mounted on Mourne granite, Stormont was built on land acquired in 1921 for NI's new seat of Parliament, and opened by Edward, Prince of Wales in 1932.

Our tour guide was excellent with a deep knowledge of the history and goings on of NI and its leaders. The building is architecturally beautiful having been designed by a firm of Liverpool architects.
